You can bodily lock an artist down to the confines of the studio but the imagination knows no bounds.
My creation of work has slowed down in contrast to sales which are still good online and in my lovely galleries.
This has been a good time to push my work in other directions to try and keep it fresh and this architectural themed piece is a prime example. The idea was triggered by the sight of an Instagram post about Portmeirion which is a slightly barmy mix of architectural styles.
The painting process has been quite relaxed by just letting my imagination wander without any preconceived ideas of building styles. The only criteria was to allow space for my people. The intention was to add gold and yellow ochre colours but I may abandon that idea for the sake of the painting's integrity.
I hope you like the result so far.
