Frequently Asked Questions

Ordering & Payment

How do I purchase an original painting?

Simply add the work to your basket and proceed to checkout. All major credit and debit cards are accepted, along with Shop Pay, Apple Pay, and Google Pay. Each painting is a unique original — once it's gone, it's gone.

Are your paintings one-of-a-kind?

Yes. Every painting listed on this site is an original, hand-painted work. No two are alike.

Do your paintings come with a certificate of authenticity?

Yes, upon request. Neil personally signs, dates, and titles every painting on the back. This is the artist's own mark of authenticity — more meaningful, and more permanent, than a printed document.

Can I commission a painting?

Non prescriptive commission enquiries are welcome. Neil will not copy other artists work. You are more than welcome to commission landscapes and crowd scenes in any style published on the website. Please get in touch via the contact page with details of what you have in mind — subject, size, and any reference images.  — and Neil will come back to you directly.

Shipping & Delivery

Do you offer free shipping?

Yes — free delivery worldwide on all original paintings, to the UK, EU, USA, Canada, and Australia.

How long will my painting take to arrive?

Original paintings are made to order with bespoke hardwood frames crafted in the UK. Please allow up to 2 weeks from order confirmation for dispatch. Once shipped, delivery times vary by destination — typically 2–5 working days within the UK.

How is the painting packaged?

Every painting is carefully wrapped and packed to museum standards to ensure it arrives in perfect condition. Bespoke protective packaging is used for all originals.

Do you deliver to PO Boxes or BFPO addresses?

Unfortunately not — courier delivery requires a full street address. UK non-mainland deliveries are subject to courier availability; please contact us before ordering if you're unsure.

Will I have to pay customs duties?

International customers outside the UK may be subject to import duties or taxes levied by their country's customs authority. These charges are not collected by Neil McBride Art and are the responsibility of the buyer. We recommend checking with your local customs office before ordering.

Returns & Refunds

What is your returns policy?

Our return policy is very simple:

If you are not happy with an art purchase that you made on neilmcbrideart.co.uk for any reason, you can return it to us within 30 days of the order date. As soon as it arrives, we'll issue a full refund for the entire purchase price.

Who pays for return shipping?

Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the buyer and are not reimbursed. We strongly recommend using a tracked, insured service — original paintings are valuable and fragile. Paintings must be returned in their original state and packaging.

Are sale items refundable?

No — items purchased at a reduced sale price are non-refundable.

How do I arrange a return?

Email sales@neilmcbrideart.co.uk to notify us before sending anything back. Returns should be sent to: Neil McBride Art, Field View, 22 Croft Heads, Sowerby, Thirsk YO7 1NG, UK.

The link to our full Refund Policy is at the bottom of the page.

Prints

Do you sell prints?

Prints are no longer available through this website. A selection of open edition prints — on canvas, paper, and metal — is available via Neil's Fine Art America / Pixels.com page.
