Ouse Walk - original painting on board

Ouse Walk is a Turner inspired painting on board.

The footpath alongside the river Ouse through York is a long term favourite and this painting is inspired by those many walks.

Turner on acid, is how a gallery owner once labelled one of the early Turner style paintings in the McBride collection. So it was decided to mute the colours slightly. Honest.

Look closely and you will find a couple of people in the bottom left of the painting. This is a pre-crowds painting!
